Six club members tackled the local Deal 5 mile yesterday, complete with customary wet and windy conditions. First home was Alex Horsley, with John Cooper and Bill Wright both following up Park Runs the day before. Roy Barden, Carol Walker and Gaynor Shelvey were also among the 227 finishers.

On Sunday 4^th November 2012, five Thanet Roadrunners AC members competed in the 1000m junior run, which traditionally precedes the annual Deal 5 senior race.  Atrocious weather and strong performances from TRAC youngsters have been the two recurring themes of recent renewals and this year’s fixture proved no exception.  The finishing positions and times recorded were as follows:
