Thanks to John Cooper for this write up, of the second round of the Kent Fitness League held on Sunday 13th November at New Barn Park Swanley. The warm autumn day saw a massive field of 474 runners line up for the senior race which started just after 11am following a 2 minute silence. The ground was reasonably firm under foot with the course consisting of one small and two large laps making up the total distance of 5 miles. Thanet were well supported with a total of 17 runners amongst the field. On the day the men’s team finished 17th the ladies team finished 13th and in the combined team finished 17th. The men’s team were missing some of their faster runners which saw the team slip back 4 places to17th in the overall standings. This time around saw a strong turn out from the ladies which has seen them move up the table from 2 places to 16th. In the combined league table Thanet has slipped back 3 places to 17th.

Some of the club's juniors also travelled up - more to follow on how they got on later.

Next up is a trip to Oxleas Wood, Eltham on 27^th November, so please let the skippers know if you can make it!
