The 2010-11 Kent Fitness League standings are available here.

The 2011-12 Kent Fitness League standings are available here.

The fixtures for the 2012-13 Kent Fitness League are listed below. Full rules are on the link, but it is for non-elite athletes (sub-34 10K men and sub-38 10K women are barred). For a full combined team, we need at least 10 runners - three women (including at least one over 40) and 7 men (including at least one over 40 and one over 50). So, the more runners we have out the better chance we have of scoring highly! The club will pay the entry fee (but not for guest runners, who will need to pay £4 on the day).

We’re also planning to run a free minibus to the most distant fixtures this year (marked **) – Steve Clarke will be coordinating the bus, so it will be useful to know numbers beforehand, of both seniors and juniors. Any non-runners are also welcome to travel, but we ask for a contribution of £2 each.

Please do make the effort to support the cross country – it’s great fitness work, and fun sloshing about in the mud! What’s more, we actually have three events at our end of the county this year, which is a big help!

There will be 6 junior races with Oxleas Wood being the only fixture not to stage a junior event.

Kent Fitness League 2012-13 - Sevenoaks (21st Oct 2012)

Location: Knole Park, Sevenoaks

Start time: 11.00

On Sunday, the 2012-13 Kent Fitness League kicked off in Sevenoaks’ Knole Park. With just over 400 runners, TRAC had a good start, with Noel Sutton placing 3rd, with the men’s team in 16th. Michaela Hill followed up her runs in the summer relays by leading the ladies’ team to a great 10th place, while Claire Stirk had her first run in a Thanet Vest. The juniors also had a splash in the mud – I’ll let you know how they got in in due course.

Don’t forget the next fixture, at Swanley Park on 11th November – once again, seniors and juniors are invited, so please let Steve Clarke or Gary Gillatt know if you’d like a place on the free bus.
