I've actually registered for it - might be nice to actually run in an event for a change!

Can I just put in an appeal to the parents of any juniors intending to run this. The chances are you will want to come along anyway to support your youngsters, so why not volunteer to help. Marshalling a 5k is not very hard work and not very time-consuming as the last finisher is usually back in under 45 minutes. Any help you could give the organisers, even just by volunteering on the day, would be greatly appreciated, especially in the early days when the event is just getting off the ground.
