GP Races?
« on: April 14, 2016, 11:58:50 AM »
Hi

I was just looking through the forum at the EA information and saw GP races mentioned.  Can I just ask what are they? I only joined in October so am a bit of a newbie.  Sorry  if it is a stupid question.

Thanks
Sarah

Hi Sarah

GP races are Grand Prix events.  If you run in them you can get points for the club and at the end of the season the club with the most points win.  They are a good way of meeting other club members and often people will car share etc  :)

Sarah

The Grand Prix races are also our club championship races, so taking part in them increases your chances of winning one of the club awards at the end of the year. There are still 6 of the 10 races left this year and the next one is the Staplehurst 10k on the 5th of June which is supposed to be a nice flat and potentially fast course, so why not give it a go.
