Hope everyone that ran today did well in which ever race you took part in be it the Dartford Half Marathon or those of us that took the easier option of the Dinosaur 10K at Deal.

Hi Andy, who was the Thanet Junior in the under 10 group? (DONOSAUR 1.5K)  that young man was very good, he was very keen to start and won by a huge margin I hope the junior coaches are pleased. I must say it was well organised by deal tri today start to finish......

Well done all and also to the TRAC ladies who took part in Race for Life - absolutely wonderful to see Kay Bailey back running 12 weeks in remission!

who was that young man?

well a little bit of searching and its the name i have heard of / read about / and who has ran past me in a blur on the Park Run

Alex kavanagh

nice to put a face to a name, massive respect to him , his parents and his trainer, to see such commitment at that age was impressive.....

yep its the holiday season... i'm off altitude training in the Greek Halkadiki Mountain resort of Skioni at 2 inches above sea level !!! hopefully fit and able for the Charing 10k 3rd sep, Thanet Marathon 4th (My first, nervous laugh!) and the Wingham 10k 11th sept.

I read that Kay had done the Whitstable 5k Sat runs and now she has done the Race for Life. I personally can not wait to meet up again, she has been missed by all during her recent illness. Shes a brave lady and deserves a big hug.
