Great North Run
« on: September 18, 2011, 03:12:13 PM »
Well what a fantastic race, 54,000 entrants, weather was ideal for running no wind with only a little rain during and then when I got to the last mile.  Even with the groin strain on my mind from our run, was just looking to get round in under 2hrs.  Well I thought our half marathon was hilly, nothing compared to the Great North Run, we have hills they have long slopes.  Over all a great day with I thinbk a PB as I know normally run time is about 1hr 51ish.  Achieved 1 hr 50 min 05 secss a long way away, hope that quicksands went well for all runners that took part.  :)

Well done Andy - you had a few more entrants up there than we did!  Fantastic effort though ;D

Thanks Ed,

Yes thought ours was bad for hills, steady inclines are worse than that they go on forever up there, was a great day good weather conditions, will get a pic as soon as can if you can add to website
