Just a thought ... does the social team want to organise a 11.11.11.11.11 run? 11 o'clock on the 11th November 2011...folks should probably do an 11km route ....

Just a thought ...

Can I make a suggestion which might work. How about having a 10k handicap. Everybody declares their 10k PB, any new members who have never run a 10k get given a nominal time of say 60-65 mins or so. We all pay a couple of quid to enter, hold a 1 minute silence at the beginning, start the race at 11.11 and give all the proceeds to the British Legion. We could all meet up for a coffee afterwards. That way it would get the club newcomers involved and theoretically we should all have an equal chance of winning.

I know it spoils the symettry but what about holding it on the Saturday 12th and that way everybody could get involved.

Why not make it an 11k handicap? (based on 10k times) Keeps the symmetry. If we were being really silly, we'd say it would cost GBP1.11 to enter. (Sorry but my Korean keyboard doesn't have a pound sign...)

...the trick will be to find a safe route people could do at 11pm ...

I knew I had spelled "symmetry" wrong, but either way it didn't look right. I knew it wouldn't get past you Lee!

Can this not be done on the Sunday as Sharon said most people will be at work, and as I am still a soldier, it is remeberance Sunday on the 13th, I will be observing my silence at work on the 11th at 11 for 2 minutes.
