Still Kent's only accurately measured Marathon. Kent Championships event. Superb Value! 26 miles and 385 yard distance and 13 mile 192.5 yard races available. A Junior Fun Run is also available for all ages under 16.

Kent Coastal Marathon and Half 2004

We have now reached our quota for both the Marathon and Half-Marathon, for the third year on the trot. We cannot accept any more entrants for safety reasons and for the enjoyment of those on the course.

Run under UK Athletics rules. A BARR Event. Minimum age 18 on day of race for Marathon, age 17 on day of race for Half-Marathon. We regret that these races are not suitable for wheelchair athletes. Awards for first, second and third male and female; also for teams and age categories.

All finishers receive a commemorative award.

Course Map and Profile

The best map of the course is the mostly accurate GMAP PEDOMETER map. However, this still has rough anomolies when running over the tracks rather than on the roads... Occaisionally it looks like a multi-terrain swim. The height profile is not too accurate in my opinion. This should incorporate the minor 06 variation near the finish. The distance of the route says it is under 26 miles. Trust us, it has been measure more accurately by a certified course measurer who has certified it an accurate marathon and half marathon course. If your GPS or Footpod system says its a different length, then it is more likley to be more inaccurate than our course measuring team!

The course is mildly generally undulating for the first half and largely flat for the second half. For more detail look at the Course Profile  in Excel format.

Race Packs

Race packs including numbers will be sent out approximately two weeks before the event. If your cheque is cashed, you have been entered successfully.

The race information packs will contain information for all runners. If you do not receive your number in your race pack, then this means that you either have additional fees to pay or there is some other query with your entry. You can contact us for more information.
