Hungary for a Run

Thanks to Nigel Cook for the write up, and his photos. Well done both!

Sally and I ran the Budapest Half Marathon at the weekend. A great event with some 12,000 runners from 54 different countries taking part. The city is a stunning place to run and the course was flat, predominantly taking in the bridges and promenade alongside the river Danube. The only downside was the intense heat and although the race started at 9am, the temperature soon rose to 26 degrees!!!

Needless to say our times were not quick. That however was an irrelevance in what turned out to be a great weekend. Even better with a litre of beer costing about £1.60!
