New to running, why not try the Park run!

Whether you want to get fit, run faster or just take part in a weekly training session then the free, weekly, 5km timed Park runs around the UK maybe what you are looking for.

Park runs tend to take place in pleasant parkland surroundings with people from all walks of life and every ability taking part; from those taking their first steps in running to experienced club runners.  Based on the generosity of larger sponsors, Park run continues to be a non-profit organisation with the aim of getting people fit and into the outdoors. They are open to everyone, free, and are safe and easy to take part in.

This all seems very good, what do I do?  All you need to do is sign up online.  Once you have registered you will receive a printable set of barcodes which is used to time you each time you attend.  It is that simple.

So what is stopping you? There are Park runs organised locally at Palm Bay, Pegwell Bay and Whitstable at 9 am every Saturday morning...many, many Thanet Roadrunners participate.
