PROVISIONAL – John Flitch Duathlon Results

Many congratulations to all the runners and riders in Sunday’s John Flitch Mountain Bike Duathlon.  Thanet’s toughest race certainly lived up to its billing, with the mud proving particularly challenging, although at least it was a lovely clear sunny morning. Thanks to race director, Phil Kinnill and the team, and all the hardy marshals.

Craig Joy was first past the post on 1hr 35mins, almost two minutes clear of Jon Bond. Rob parr was third in 1hr 40. As for the ladies, Liz King was first home in 2.26, three minutes ahead of Donna Shalders with Louise Tomlinson third in 2.48. There were 62 individual finishers, and ten dropped out.

Mark Thomas and Richard Lewey combined to head the11 two person teams to complete, while Nick Rowland Hill, Nicholas Edward Pinkerton Hill and Mark Adelsberg were first of two three person teams.
