Seniors at Minnis Bay Cross Country

Sunday saw the fifth leg of the Kent Fitness League take place at Minnis Bay organized by Thanet Roadrunners.

357 runners lined up to start on the beach, after half a mile on the beach the runners then clambered up a shingle bank to then tackle five and a half miles of very wet and slippery mud which included five deep water filled dykes.

Thanet Roadrunners had 15 runners on the day the first home being Noel Sutton in an excellent 2nd place, which helped the men's team finish in 7th place. First home for the ladies was Debbie Hatt in 287th one place ahead of Sarah Harmes helping the ladies to 12th place. Overall the men sit in 15th, the ladies 16th and the combined team 15th.
