Steve said, 'it is a great privilege to be heading one of the most prominent sports clubs in Thanet.  I hope to build on the legacy built up by previous Chairpersons.’

Steve added, ‘we are very much a community based running & athletics club with runners ranging from juniors to members well into their sixties and seventies.  Men and women are both well represented and members have a wide variety of backgrounds and other interests.  Members new to running will find our club sessions are inclusive with all training sessions having 1 – 5 groups in order to cater for all abilities.

Members are also encouraged to take an active role in the club by marshalling at club organised events which in turn provide funds for local charities and organisations as well as subsidising the club’s running costs thus keeping membership costs down.  An active and varied social side is an important part of our club too.’
