Tonbridge Half Marathon and Club Champs

Six TRACcies took part in this morning’s Tonbridge Half marathon, with just over 1000 finishers. Owen Mitchell was first back in 32nd with 1.24, and less than two minutes covered the next three Thanet runners, as Bradley Cameron clocked 1.32 ahead of John Hunt in a new PB and Steve Suttle. Helen Spain was the sole Trac lady who made the trip in just over 2 hrs, with Bill Wright completing the home contingent in 2.16. Well done all!

With just one race to go in the club champs, Chris Brenchley is still in pole position in the men’s overall, although Owen can still claim the title. Bradley has sewn up third. Owen and Chris have both wrapped up their age groups, as have Steve and Bill. As for the ladies, any one of four could claim the title – Pam, Becky, Debbie or Sarah - while Helen could snatch third. Becky, Pam and Gaynor have won their age group titles, while Debbie or Sarah will claim the v35. Minor placings in the age groups are still up for grabs.

Two weeks off now until the final race, the Ashford 10k on 12th October Entries are still open. Let’s have a big finish!
