Kent Roadrunner Marathon Race Update

Saturday saw 5 Thanet Roadrunners take part in the Kent Roadrunner Marathon. It is a mildly undulating 17 lap course, staged at the multi-million pound Cyclopark in Gravend.

The weather was hot, which made running conditions a little tough out there, but it wasn't nearly as hot as the atmosphere. There were a number of people in fancy dress. There was an 'udderly' fantastic couple who ran as a cow and milk maid, people in wigs, and eve...n scooby doo!

1st TRACies across the line (and in an amazing 25th position overall) setting a new personal best was John Hunt in a fantastic time of 3:18:38, closely followed by Bradley Cameron in 3:23:44. Next up was Steve Clarke with a PB of 3:57:02. Then Steve Forshaw in 4:31:40, and then it was Oliver Northrop, who completed his first ever marathon in a very respectable 5:08:26.

Well done guys on some very impressive performances.
