Anyone able to guide a blind runner?

I’ve had an appeal from an experienced blind runner, who is looking for someone who may be willing to guide her in any local events or training runs. They don’t need any experience.

Louise has been running for seven years, and as an indicator, her race times include 5k- 23:36, but that's with a regular guide on a regular course (30 mins with a new guide and then quicken over time), 56:02 for 10K, 2:03:48 for half marathon, again with the same regular guide, (around 2:40 with a new guide). She’s also run 3 marathons, the fastest being London in 5:31.

If anyone can help, please drop me a line at webmaster@thanetroadrunners.org.uk, and I’ll pass on her details.

Thanks,

Ed
