Mark's 10 in 10

As many of you will know, Mark Foster recently attempted to run the Fosters Law Kent Coastal Marathon course 10 times in 10 days, ending with the day of the actual race. Big thanks to him for his report.....

I know some of you are fully aware of how it went but for those who don't follow me on facebook here is the abridged version.

All went well for the first marathon and a half but then I began to feel very nauseous.  I struggled on to the end of day 3 (that's 3 marathons and 78.6 miles)

spending nearly an hour chewing mashed potato before rushing to the toilet made me realise I was not going to be able to continue.  48 hours later I felt much better and decided to recommence the challenge completing the last 5 days without further "stomach issues"  I even managed my fastest time on the last day 4.16.

So in the end I managed 8 Marathons in 10 days and covered a total of 209 miles.

One of my running buddies best summed up my efforts with the comment 10 out of 10 for effort 8 out of 10 for attendance which I think perfectly sums it up.

Anyway the main reason for this email is to thank you on behalf of myself and the Brathay Trust for your fantastic donation.

We raised just under £1250 which is a truly awesome amount and I know the trust are delighted to receive your money.

Would I do it again ?  No its onwards to the next Bonkers Challenge, watch this space!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY

Mark
