East Kent Relays

Last Tuesday saw five teams turn out at the Dover leg of the relays. For a change this year the weather was kind to us with just a reasonable wind blowing. The setting was the beautiful Samphire Hoe Country Park with the run partly on the concrete promenade but mostly trail with some gravel track.

Well done to all our runners especially our junior boys who won again. They are sitting nicely in first place in the overall standings. Our V35 ladies are still sitting in their second place slot and it is tight at the top of the mens V60 where the chaps are sitting in third with only a few points to first. With only one leg left they could easily make up some ground to take them closer to the top.

Full results can be found here.

The last event for this year is next Tuesday 5th July at Canterbury. Hopefully the weather will be kind to us again and we can finish with a beautiful summers evening.

It is open to all ages and abilities and is good fun with great spirit between our runners. If you have ever been tempted then please do come along. No body is ever out of place and all members are most certainly very welcome.

If you would like to come or would like more information then e-mail the captains or get us on Facebook.
