A Mid-Summer Nights Dream

Two TRACies went to Gravesend last Friday for the annual Nice Work Summer 10K.

The event is held at the Cyclopark which also hosts events like the Kent Roadrunner Marathon.

It is a 2.5K tarmac track with three smallish hills. The venue has great facilities like a large car park, changing/shower room, a cafe and a fantastic park with apparatus for all ages.

It is a great place to take the family for an event or at any other time.

It was a fine evening just on the side of too warm. Tim Thirkettle won the mens V55 finishing in 8th place with a time of 42:38 and Richard Purton set a new PB with a time of 46:48 finishing in 15th place.

Richard's daughter Grace also ran in the 800m childrens race.

It was a lovely evenings event.

Full results can be found here.

Nice Work also do a 5K and 10K Winter Series at this venue which is great for staying sharp over the darker months.

If you have attended any events you would like to see on the website then please let me. It is good to see what club members are getting up to.
