East Kent Road Relays

Last night saw the final event in Canterbury of the East Kent Road Relays 2017.

After a shaky start to the season partly to do with Dorchester marathon being in between the Folkstone event and our own event Minnis Bay, this year has seen some of the highest attendance for the club in recent years.

For one we have all had great fun at the events feeling lots of camaraderie even down to arranging car shares.

I personally have felt a great deal of club spirit at the events this year hearing lots of good feedback.

Last nights event ended with the traditional picnic and as you can see from the picture there was a mighty smorgasbord on offer.

All runners and teams have achieved many goals this season whether it be a first outing at the relays, an improvement on last years times or setting a new fastest mile.

Most notably our senior ladies, V45 ladies, V45 ladies B and our V60 men all finished in 3rd place overall in their respective age groups.

Lots of great achievements all round. Well done all!!

The final results can be found here.

Thanks go to the two team captains for all the organisation they have put in and all who have given people lifts to the events.

The Traccie 'Love Bus' rolls on!!!
