Meet our New Marshaling Team

We are pleased to announce that we have a new marshaling team of Roger Jones and Maryanne Aitken.  The Marshaling coordinator position is one of the most important and responsible positions within our club, and we are so pleased that we have two high calibre people to help us with that role.

This pivotal position involves organising of a list of volunteers for each race allocating a marshal position for each person and ensuring that they receive full instructions to complete their duties….for some of our races this is a massive logistical job.  The role also involves finding race HQ administrators, lead cyclists, backmarker runners and sometimes timekeepers.

Roger Jones said, ‘We need around 35 volunteers for the Alan Green Memorial 10 Mile Race on December 3rd.  We need marshalls to assist at the start finish area and on the course. Even if you are running, you can help at the start area, and we'll make sure we get you to the start line in plenty of time.’

He added, ‘If you can help, click here to send us your contact details and tell us what you can do and we'll gratefully allocate you a marshalling slot. ‘

Alternatively, send an email with your availability to
