Enter the British London 10K for ‘Let’s Face It’ Facial Cancer Charity

One of our club runners, Daniel Jackson is an ambassador for a charity called ‘Let’s Face It’ who support people and families who have suffered or are being treated for facial cancer. You can read his marvellous story in his blog www.igoggle.wordpress.com

Daniel had a cancerous tumour removed from his face last year which meant removing his eye and losing all the tissue around it.  It was a tough year for him but he was supported by an amazing charity called ‘Let’s Face It’www.lets-face-it.org.uk.  As a result of the support he received, he now works closely with them and is raising support and awareness for the charity, and for others going through this horrendous ordeal.

Daniel has been offered an opportunity to secure charity places  in the http://www.thebritish10klondon.co.uk which takes place on the 13th July 2014.  Daniel is asking Thanet Roadrunners members if they would like a space to help raise some money for this worthy cause. The cost will be £50 for individual entry or free if you raise £100 for the charity

So if anyone from the club or connected with the club is interested in a space, please contact me on 07775815500 or via press@thanetroadrunners.org.uk.   Really need to know by tommorow if anyone is interested.
