Kent Grand Prix Update

The latest standings in the 2011 Kent Grand Prix are now in, following last Sunday’s Sittingbourne 10 mile race – this year’s penultimate fixture.

The men had a full 6 scorers for only the 4th time this year, led home by Steve King with Steve Clarke, Rick Ryder and I all adding to our scores, and Graham Pick and Phil Kinnill opening their accounts. The ladies had their second highest score of the year, with Becky Williams a few points ahead of Debbie Hatt.

The men’s team has dropped a place to 8th following a very strong show by Dartford Road Runners, whilst the ladies are now clear in 14th. Both teams can climb further up the table with the last meeting, the Deal 5 mile on 6th November. The chaps will be looking to move ahead of Cambridge Harriers, while the ladies are less than 40 points from 11th.

In the individual tables, Steves Suttle and King are in the top 20 overall, and although the former now can no longer claim the v50 title, he’ll be looking to hold onto second place. Debbie Hatt moves up to 27th, just short of 100 points.

We had a great team spirit on Sunday, so please make sure you get your entry in for Deal, as local as it gets!  As usual we can sort out travel nearer the time, but let’s have a big push to round of the year with a big score!
