Kent Grand Prix Update

The latest Kent Grand Prix standings are now available, following our marathon last weekend.

The men’s team had a great show, as the 2nd top scoring team on the day, which has moved us up to 7th ahead of Dartford Road Runners. Steves Suttle (8th) and King (17th) both move up in men’s overall competition, with Steve King just outside the top 10 in V40. Steve Suttle currently tops the V50, but is only 2 points ahead of second, who has a race in hand.

Debbie Hatt singlehandedly gained the ladies’ team another five spots, to joint 14th. Debbie also jumped ahead of Sarah Harmes in the overall table, but there’s only 3 points in it, and both are in the top 40.

The filter in the above file is set to show all Thanet Runners, and has some new entrants to the chart!

With just two races to go, a strong finish could see the ladies in the top 10, which would be great performance after a slow start to the season, while the men could make 5th. It all depends on having a large enough club presence!

Next up is Sittingbourne 10 mile on 2nd October, finishing with Deal 5 mile on 6th November – two races with smallish fields, and points up for grabs! As always, we can arrange car sharing through the forum, so make sure you get your entries in!
