Roadrunners' Brighton Jolly

There were some cracking runs by TRAC today at the Brighton marathon, despite the continuing recent hot conditions not proving the most friendly for distance running!

Sarah Harmes clocked a terrific 3.39.55 on her marathon debut, and there were also great first marathons for Stephen Bedingfield and Ian Lockyer, running for the Kent Association for the Blind. Ahead of running in next Sunday’s London Marathon, Mark Ashmore clocked a new personal best – we’ll see how the recovery goes over the next few days! Karen Daniels and Tracey-Anne Van Der Merwe returned to the south coast after running the inaugural event last year, and Tracey-Anne has now completed three marathons all within 90 seconds!

Very well done everyone – must have been tough in the heat!
