Weekend Summary

On Saturday, TRAC Junior Emily Bond become the club’s youngest ever county representative when she ran for Kent in the Under 13 age group in the South of England Inter-Counties Cross Country Championships, in Bedfordshire. Emily covered the 3k course in 11.40, helping the Kent team to 5th. More to follow on this later in the week.

Also on Saturday, and after a week sabbatical for the wintry weather, the Whitstable Park Run resumed at the weekend, and gave two personal bests to Thanet Roadrunners. Alex Horsley finally claimed pole position after three consecutive runner up spots, improving his time to 20.05, while Bill Wright lowered his top mark, finishing 17th in 28.12.

And on Sunday, it was the Ditton Turkey Run.  Mark Foster led the 13 Roadrunners home, through 6.5 very muddy, snowy and wet cross country miles, back to base were they were treated to a tea, mince pie, and a bite size Christmas pudding. Congrats to Anna for successfully completing her comeback run!
