Saturday's Action
Three Juniors of Thanet Roadrunners Athletics Club ran in the Kent Cross Country League fixture at Danson Park, Bexleyheath on Saturday 13th November. In the Under 13 girls race, Emily Bond continued her fine form, finishing 7th in 9.41, despite at 11 being one of the youngest runners, with Imogen Bushell 17th in 10.27 – times which would have placed them much higher last year, although the damp conditions were far from ideal . In the U13 boys, Oliver Cooper came 25th in 14.20. Very well done to the youngsters and their supporters.
Elsewhere on Saturday, Alex Horsley followed up his second in the first Whitstable Park Run 5k with another second yesterday, clocking 20.21, with Terry Brightwell 10th in 23.54.
And Mark Foster and Maria Davis completed the second day of the three day Druid Challenge 82 mile multi stage ultra event along the Ridgeway path - more to follow on that later.
