Hot and Sunny!

 

TRAC member Glyn Jenkins didn’t have the trouble the rest of us have had with the recent weather, when headed over to Cyprus for a bit of winter sun recently, and as well as his duty free, came back with some trophies in his suitcase as well!

On 21st November, Glyn ran a 10k race in Limassol, in about 25C. Finishing 31st out of 150, and 1st O/60, to claim his first trophy of the trip, and was treated like a star back at the hotel!

A week later, he ran a 1/2 Marathon in Pathos, in even hotter conditions - 28C. Faded a bit after 10 miles. Mike Gratton was at a drink station there and must have jinxed it by saying "Come on Glyn, looking good!" He still finished in 1.45, 61st out of over 200, again 1st O/60, and another trophy. Very hot, loads of blisters - Just pleased to finish. Hotel boss had already announced that they were sponsoring Glyn!

The following week, a 5k handicap race, and came 3rd fastest in 20m 05s.

Two days later, Glyn had great fun as he got lost on his first Hash House trail run!
