Anyone for 5k?

For 5k action over the weekend, we had familiar faces at the Whitstable Park Run. Among another big field of 146 runners, junior Alfie Grafton led the gang home, just ahead of Alex Horsley. Newly minted v70 Glyn Jenkins was next, just ahead of Terry Brightwell, who looks lined up for third place in this year’s points table. Rick Ryder, Brian Snead and Bill Wright completed the TRAC turnout.

Then on Sunday, the annual Pilgrim’s Hospices 5k run returned to Palm Bay. The Stirk Family took part, with young Maddie taking second place in the junior race while mum Clare enjoyed her first real race, finishing behind winner Alex Kavanagh. Gaynor Shelvey also took part in the local charity run - no doubt with some others!

Well done everyone!
