TAG Pet Rescue Becomes Official Charity for 2015 John Flitch Memorial Mountain Bike Duathlon

Tag Pet Rescue, the Thanet based charity that rescues and re-homes unwanted pets is the latest organisation to become a recipient charity of one of Thanet Roadrunners AC races.  The charity that runs a sanctuary will receive some of the proceeds from the race as well as recognition and publicity through the clubs website and media promotions.

The John Flitch Memorial Mountain Bike Duathlon is the club’s traditional opener for the New Year and provides a tough and muddy challenge for its competitors. It starts with a 2.4 mile Road Run, followed by a 7.5 mile off-road bike ride, and finishes with a 4.5 mile cross country run.

Phil Kinnill, Race Director of the race said, ‘it is an important pillar of the club that we put something back into the community. TAG Pet Rescue does such an amazing job and we are pleased to have gone some way in supporting them.’
