In short: Leigh village and Kelly make it great!
In full: superb race i found the hills a great challenge, Leigh village support truly outstanding BUT sad to report my timing chip/coil in vest number failed to trip the timing mat so i have had to email organisers for a guesstimate from hand written records (A BIG FAIL) worth the trip just to meet Kelly though!...

Thank Ed yes it was great to see the ponds and rivers i fished as a teenager, the corners and hedges i rode my motorbikes through!
the hill's seemed smaller 35 years ago!
this is a super race, the village of leigh turn out en mass and give great support..and i got a chuckle from kelly holmes when i told her i had "borrowed" the prison union flag for her triumphant open top bus parade through Tonbridge 4 years ago..

John Cooper showed some grit and determination to finish despite still suffering a ghippy tum...

anyway i'm claiming 1.54;33 going by this picture linked http://gallery.sussexsportphotography.com/viewpicture.tlx?advsearchid=1348524782&pictureid=12924502893
