Fosters Law Kent Coastal Marathon and Half Marathon – final word

We will be accepting on the day entries for Sunday’s races - please bring along a completed entry form and your £25 entry fee to race HQ at Palm Bay School, Cliftonville, CT9 3PP.

Pre-entered runners will need to collect their chip (and, if required, their championship number) from race HQ between 7.30 and 9.15 on race day. Please check your number from the advanced entries list. There is plenty of on street parking near the school, but please be mindful of local residents. The race will start at 9.30 - give yourself plenty of time to make the start which is a short walk over the road from the school.

Please note that although the senior/open individual Kent marathon championship is based on any marathon anywhere, these runners can still form part of the team champs on Sunday. Dave Behagg will accept entries before the race on the day into the Kent team champs from senior runners only. There is no individual Kent champs competition for seniors on Sunday, although their time will count towards the standings. Vets must have pre-entered the Kent champs.

This year the race is supporting the Thanet Disabled Riding centre and the work it does for local disabled – we will donate at least £1 from each entry to the charity.

Please note that in line with BARR recommendations, headphones should not be worn during the race. Marshalls will be taking race numbers and action will be taken.

Jodi Hanagan will once again be our official race photographer on the day – give her a big smile as you wind your way along the Thanet coastline! Photos will be available to view and purchase from her website shortly after the race.

Tim Smith of Relaxing Hands and Ann Yates ( will be available to provide massage before and after the race.

Very many thanks to our race sponsors for their continued support to ensure Thanet Roadrunners continues to bring you Kent’s only road marathon race - Fosters Law, Thanet District Council, Sweatshop, Asics, High5 sports nutrition, Thanet Constabulary, RAYNET, Margate Ambulance services, local scout groups and all the marshals en route.

All that’s left to say is have a great day!
