Still Wanted: Cross Country Race Director


A reminder that after last season’s successful home leg in the Kent Fitness League, race director Richard Stirk announced he was stepping down – massive thanks once again to him for leading the team through that!

As yet, no-one has come forward to take on the race for next January. This is a gentle introduction to the world of race directing - there is a load of experience around the club to offer advice and plenty of people involved behind the scenes to help out, so you’ll not be left alone. It’s never a one person job, but it does need someone to pull it all together. All race directors past and present will tell you how rewarding the effort is when the positive feedback comes flooding in!

Without someone taking the reins, we could deprive the Kent cross country community the thrill of the dykes on a cold wet winter’s morning...
