Fosters Law Kent Coastal Marathon and Half Marathon Pre Race Information

There are a a limited number of entries available on the day due to deferrals. Anyone wishing to enter on the day should arrive at race HQ soon after 7.30, to avoid disappointment. Please bring along a completed entry form and your £30 entry fee to race HQ at Palm Bay School, Cliftonville, CT9 3PP.

Pre-entered runners will need to collect their chip (and, if required, their championship number) from race HQ between 7.30 and 9.15 on race day.

There is plenty of on-street parking near the school as well as in the sports field next to the school.  We ask that if you park on the street that you please be mindful of local residents. The race will start at 9.30 - give yourself plenty of time to make the start which is a short walk over the road from the school. Race results will be on the UK Sports Timing website ( shortly after the race.

This year's official race charity is the Margate Ambulance Corps (charity no 270595) who have been serving the local community since 1880.  Without their support many local events would be unable to survive.  Our club president Derek Sackett reached the ‘big 70’ this year and is an active member of the Corps.  It seemed fitting we give something back to this great group of people who have supported us, looking after our runners for years.

Please note that in line with BARR recommendations, headphones should not be worn during the race. Marshalls will be taking race numbers and action will be taken.

Don’t forget that we will also have some brilliant drumming music provided by Rich Rhythms At the start-finish area, we will have a bar, coffee and burgers.  There is plenty of bottled water available throughout the course.  We also have the best marshalls in the world as well as a great number of inspirational signs along the route!

Jodi Hanagan will once again be our official race photographer on the day – give her a big smile as you wind your way along the Thanet coastline! Photos will be available to view and purchase from her website shortly after the race ( Jodi has created a search box to help you find your photographs.

Very many thanks to our race sponsors for their continued support to ensure Thanet Roadrunners continues to bring you Kent’s only road marathon race - Fosters Law, Fujifilm, Thanet District Council, RAYNET, Margate Ambulance Corps, local scout groups and all the amazing marshals en route.

The weather looks good for Sunday, so all that’s left to say is have a great day!
