Claire Rodd to Run the London Marathon for Hospice UK

Club member, Claire Rodd is going to be running the London Marathon on the 26 April 2015 to raise funds for the charity 'Hospice UK'. Hospice UK's aim is to deliver the highest quality of care to people with terminal or life limiting conditions and support their families.

Claire who works as a physiotherapist and lives in Birchington joined Thanet Roadrunners in May 2014. Claire previously addicted to the gym has now converted to running and loves being part of the club for the training and social aspect.

Claire said, 'I have spent a lot of time working in the local hospice,  supporting their patients as a physiotherapist. Having had family and friends stay in the hospice she found their care and support invaluable....I am aiming to raise as much money as possible to support this worthy cause.'.

Everyone at the club wishes Claire every success with her training and fundraising for this fantastic cause.  If you want to sponsor Claire, please visit her fundraising page:
