Oliver and Emily take on Kent

On Saturday 17th September 2011, Oliver Cooper took part in the U15 Boys' Pentathlon Kent Championships at Erith Stadium.  He finished 8th with 1011 points.  His individual event performances were:

80m Hurdles - 21.87s

Shot Putt - 6.65m

High Jump - 1.23m

Long Jump - 4.03m

800m - 2:33.84

Unfortunately, Oliver fell in his hurdles race, and did very well to get up and complete the race!

The following day, Sunday 18th September 2011, Emily Bond ran in the Girls' 800m at the U13 Kent Track & Field Championships, also at Erith.  She won her heat in 2:32.25 to qualify for the final a couple of hours later.  In the final, she finished sixth in 2:36.76.

Both will have learnt a great deal from their day - and both will be eligible for the same age category next season.
