Caine, Emily and Tom Run for Kent

 

Three TRAC Juniors represented Kent Schools’ at the South East England Schools’ Inter Counties Cross Country fixture for Years 7 and 8 pupils on Saturday 24th March 2012. 

The Sussex Athletics website reported that the Bexhill Downs course – usually noted for its deep mud – had never been kinder for the runners, with firm ground prevailing on the day.

Caine Moir finished 31st of 81 runners in the U13 Boys’ race, in 11:20.  He was the sixth Kent boy home as the team finished sixth behind Hampshire.

Emily Bond was third of 86 in 9:30 in the Under 13 Girls’ event.  She was the first Kent girl to finish in a team that came second to Surrey.

Tom Winch was 47th of 55 in 14:59 in the U14 Boys’ category.  He was the seventh Kent boy over the line, with Hampshire again providing the winning team.
