Paisley 10k & Canterbury

On Sunday while away in Scotland, Bill Wright ran in the Paisley 10k, clocking 54.50 and 521st of almost 1000 finishers.

On Holiday Monday, the Canterbury Half Marathon returned after a one year break, with three TRAC members taking part among the field of 533. Andy Stevens had his first race for a while, finishing 61st with 1hr 36, Andy Carter struggled on the tough course in 235 with 1hr 57 and Mark Hadden rounded off the trio in 325th place with 2hrs 5mins. Organisers Nice Work had included a fun run and children’s race which also had some TRAC interest, but these were less well planned, with last minute changes to race times and an unclear course causing problems. Despite running almost twice as far as the winner, Oliver Cooper finished second in the Fun Run 19.22, and Rebecca Hales also ran well over a much greater distance than she had expected to run, but it meant that both missed the Children’s Run.

Well done everyone!
